For more than 50 years, the Crocker has proudly presented its Classical Concert series, featuring the finest musicians and singers from the Sacramento region and around the world. These educational performances are approximately 60 minutes with no intermission and draw inspiration from art on view at the Museum.
Sacramento Baroque Soloists; violin, violin, cello, harpsichord
Revel in jewels of the important trio sonata, a genre that set the stage for concertos and symphonies for centuries to come. This intimate concert featuring two violins and continuo presents early Italian sonatas as well as the masterworks of Corelli and Bach, who lived in Weimer, Germany at the same time as artist Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich, whose work Holy Family in the Carpentry Shop hangs in the Crocker’s European collection.
Arrive early and enhance your Classical concert experience with a Prelude Tour starting at 2 PM.
