Experience the Crocker's world-renowned collection and diverse exhibitions through discussion and artmaking, and let great art of the past and present inspire your own creative expression.
Dive into the world of whimsical flowers in vessels set against vibrant backgrounds bursting with patterns. Using acrylic paints, collage techniques, and a dash of metallic leaf, participants learn to master the art of collage. During the workshop, learn how to ensure your collage materials lay flat, seamlessly integrate foreground and background elements, and create an underpainting that serves as a roadmap for your collage journey. Plus, you’ll get hands-on experience painting your own collage papers using gel plates and learn techniques for tearing and gluing with precision.
Most classes include at least one gallery visit to view the permanent collection or a special exhibition. The Museum's highly trained staff and instructors are committed to providing students of all experience levels with a supportive and engaging experience.
