An intimate portrait of the life of literary, political, and feminist icon Susan Sontag told through archival footage, accounts from those close to her, and her own words.
November 21 – Fanny: The Right to Rock
The untold story of a Filipina American garage band that morphed into the ferocious rock group Fanny, the first all-women band to release an album with a major record label.
December 19 – Adios Amor
The discovery of lost photographs sparks the search for Maria Moreno, a migrant mother of twelve who led a movement for farmworker rights years before Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta launched the United Farm Workers.
Presented in partnership with California Humanities, which supported the making of these films through the California Documentary Project grant program.
