Experience the Crocker's world-renowned collection and diverse exhibitions through discussion and artmaking, and let great art of the past and present inspire your own creative expression.
Discover the history of botanical art and explore key techniques that make it a unique and meticulous form of illustration. Practice observing plants closely, from their shapes and textures to their colors and patterns. Start with basic sketching techniques and move to detailed illustration and watercolor painting to capture the structure of leaves, flowers, and stems.
The Museum's highly trained staff and instructors are committed to providing students of all experience levels with a supportive and engaging experience.
Advance registration required. Participants must provide Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils, 12 count. All other supplies are provided.
