Venture into other worlds with a series of psychedelic and mind-bending films that blur the lines between fairy tale and reality. With subject matter aligned to the dark humor and social commentary intertwined in the artwork of exhibitions Collidoscope: de la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective and Marvin Lipofsky Blows Glass, these stunning films transport viewers through the looking glass.
Pan’s Labyrinth (2006)
Enter a mythical world with 11-year-old Ofelia, who embarks on a magical, internal quest to simultaneously escape the horrors of her real life and regain her place as queen of the underworld. Director Guillermo del Toro expertly blends fairy tale, mythology, allegory, and symbolism in this multi-faceted film.
Join us at 5:30 PM before each film for a guided Reel Tour of works on view that relate to themes in the film series.
