Delve into the power of portraiture on film with a series inspired by the Crocker’s photography collection documenting the people, places, and moments in history that define the Golden State. Presented in partnership with California Humanities, which supported the making of these films through the California Documentary Project grant program, this series includes a Q & A with filmmakers and film participants following each screening.

Adios Amor: The Search for Maria Moreno (58 minutes)
The discovery of lost photographs sparks the search for Maria Moreno, a migrant mother of twelve who led a movement for farmworker rights years before Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta launched the United Farm Workers.

Grab a glass of wine at Member Happy Hour from 5 – 7 PM. Members enjoy complimentary wine, while nonmembers can partake for just $5/glass! The Crocker café is closed, so grab a bite before or after the event.
