With three floors of gallery space, the Crocker Art Museum features a diverse array of art and objects for visitors to enjoy, including the world’s foremost display of California art, one of the largest collections of international ceramics in the United States, and art from the Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania. With ongoing gallery rotations and new exhibitions, there is always something new on view to discover!
The Crocker’s changing exhibitions feature everything from prints to pottery. We strive to bring engaging subject matter from a variety of established and up-and-coming artists. Most exhibitions are on view for two to four months so be sure to visit often to catch what’s new on view.
The Crocker’s art collection includes more than 25,000 objects in a wide variety of artistic media and styles, reflecting our region’s diverse history and population. In particular, the Museum holds an extensive collection of international ceramics, European art, and California art from the Gold Rush to the present. Other significant collection areas include art from the Ancient Americas, along with more recent Native American art, as well as work from Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
