Dive into the vibrant legacy of Sacramento’s own Royal Chicano Air Force (RCAF) with a day-long symposium that offers a multidisciplinary exploration of the group’s impact. Learn about the RCAF’s philosophy and approach directly from members of the pioneering artist collective and explore the contemporary extensions of the group’s work with leading Chicano and Chicana artists, scholars, and culture bearers. Emerge from a day of poetry readings, in-depth conversations and panel discussions, film screenings, and guided tours of the exhibition with an enhanced appreciation for RCAF contributions to art history and our region.
